Bandage

Is there a bandage strong enough,
To mend a broken heart,
And jigsaw back the pieces,
That were so cruelly torn apart.

I can still remember the instant,
That daggers pierced my chest.
It was when the doctor dressed in blood,
Told me he'd tried his best.

I still see that night,
Every time I shut my eyes.
The car, the screams, the blood,
And the evil comfrorting lies.

If you really want to know,
I'm not doing that well,
Forever trapped in this living hell.

It's been so long now,
Since you have gone.
I still can't accept it totally,
Still tell them they are wrong.

So is there a bandage strong enough,
To mend a shattered heart,
And fix together a life again,
That was so quickly torn apart.
