Happy Valentines' Day!

Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day -- and its patron saint -- is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance. St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. So, who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite?

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure.

Anti-Valentine's Day
If you find yourself single on Valentine's Day, or if you're in a couple and still prefer to ignore the overzealous florists, jewelers, confectioners and card makers of the world, you can still make the most of the day--or at least get through it with minimal discomfort. Couples can take the low-key approach (maybe a quiet dinner at home, a movie or a concert) while like-minded single friends can organize an anti-Valentine's Day party or outing--no red or pink or chocolate allowed. Some cities even hold a large-scale anti-Valentine's Day event (search your local listings for information). And by all means, if you're single, don't hesitate to treat yourself to a great meal, a warm bath, a funny movie or something else equally comforting and indulgent. Above all, take comfort in the fact that February 14th is, in the end, just another day.

LAST NIGTH:
Met up with Lyc at Yishun and i waited half and hour for him! Yes Alicia Sidhu waited half an hour. Haha. Went to NorthPoint Ah Mei's Cafe to have dinner and the food there sucks! Jerome joined us for awhile and then left I headed for home to change cos i had to meet Delly at Toa Payoh Mrt around 10+ cos we planned to go MOS which was super last mintue. We went to MS to drink and yes both of us got high on beer i'm sorry people but yes i cant hold my liquor that's why I don't really drink. Left for MOS arouns 1+ met Fizah N and i saw Jonathan(BMC). I couldnt reconigze him at all. The conversation went like this...

walking out of MOS

Jonathan: Stops and looks at me then goes "hey i know you!"
Me: "er... but i dont know you"Jonathan: "you were from bmc right but i forgot your name"
Me: takes a closer look "oh... your jonathan right. oh hi" then walks off.

Lol! I saw Firadus too was really suprising cos i havent seen him in a long time. After that we left around 4+ cos Fizah has a shot tomorrow or rather later at 10am.
B called me last night to tell him about his day and one part of the conversation i find it funny. and please dont ask why.

B: "Darling, you know ah we sleep in the atap house then got so many insects"
Me: "ewww... disgusting. later got frog jump into your ass then you know"
B: "please lah i sleep on the top bunk"
Me: "but frogs can jump what"
B: "ya but then cant jump that high"

So i went online and check out the facts about frogs and guess what i found. Frogs are one of the best leapers on the planet! Did you know that frogs can launch themselves over 20 times their own length using those big strong legs of theirs? That would be like if you could jump 100 feet! the longest frog jump on record measured 33 feet 5.5 inches. It was made by a frog named Santjie at a frog derby held in South Africa. Gosh that's really high! I hope a frog jumps into his bed then he will know.
